EZscan is a universal video processor that supports both scaling and scan conversion.  EZscan receives video in various formats, processes the video, and re-transmits the video in a user-selected format.

EZscan supports the following video formats on both the input and output:

RS-343, RS-170, NTSC, PAL, STANAG, DVI-I (TMDS and analog RGB)

EZscan™ does much more than convert from one format to another.  Other video processing capabilities include:

·         video rotation (rotate video in 90 degree increments)

·         area-of-interest selection (select a specific area-of-interest on the input, and select how to map this window onto the output active area)

·         programmable border colors (programmable border colors outside the output area-of-interest

·         dynamic programmability (real-time control of contrast, brightness, area-of-interest, and much more)

all in a 1U rackspace!

EZscan is used in a variety of applications, including:

·        STANAG to DVI video conversion, and DVI to STANAG conversion

·        RS-343 to DVI conversion, and DVI to RS-343 conversion

·        Windowing an area-of-interest in RGB video, and scan converting to NTSC or PAL video.

EZscan™ is ideal for interlaced to progressive scan conversion and progressive to interlaced scan conversation.

Our EZscan configuration software allows you to logically set up the unit for your unique application. After defining the incoming video format and desired output format, the user defines the input video area of interest (AOI), and placement of the AOI within the active area. Remaining active area can be filled with a selectable background color.

With EZscan, the output frame rate can be completely independent of the input frame rate, locked to the input frame rate, locked to an external sync (optional) or be a ratio of the input frame rate.
